I have almost given up looking for answers for this phone. I cannot send text messages using my T-Mobile's SIM card inside an (Unlocked) Verizon Phone and it is driving me CRAZY. I have spent my entire day looking for answers and ended up rooting my phone. This is my last resort to find answers about this issue.
Here's the details of the phone:
Model Number: SCH-I545
Android Version: 5.0.1
Baseband Version: I545VRUGOF1
Kernel Version: 3.4.0 (Mon Mar 30:17:37:43 KST 2015)
Build Number: LRX22C.I545VRUGOF1
I am new to this whole rooting/flashing/recovery things in Android but I'm willing to learn and research.
I have tried rooting this phone and I assume it works.
I used this to root: Root on OF1 by Edgardo Uchiha
But I used KingRoot instead of mobileGo from Wondershare (since it failed me so many times).
I used Odin to update(downdate I guess) the kernel into the OC1_kernel.tar.md5.
Everything is good but still I cannot update my SuperSU's binaries. (Trying to use FlashFire to install custom ROMs)
This whole thing is my take on trying to change the SMSC number to that of T-Mobile's.
Since I assume that is the main reason why I cannot send text messages using my phone.
Although MMS messaging is doing fine and dandy.
I know this is a very outdated phone and I figured people already asked, but I'm running out of options. Thank you and I've heard many good things about this community.
