Asus ME176CX - Boot Loop.

This is my son's tablet. Has not been rooted. I'm pretty good with PC's, but have no experience with android. Need some help.

Tablet is stuck in a bootloop. Held power and volume up to access droidboot. Get options reboot droidboot, reboot, recovery, and power off. At bottom of screen:

FASTBOOT INIT.....
E:installer device ignored
FASTBOOT CMD WAITING.....
E:Failed to mount device '/dev/block/sda1' as installer partition using fs_type itiiton using fs_type 'vfat'
E:installer device ignored
E:installer device ignored
E:No valid installer medium found.
Could not open /sys/devices/virtual/backlight

From here I went to recovery. Then get "No command" screen which I bypassed. Android system recovery options show:
Reboot system now
Apply update from ADB
Wipe data/factory reset
Wipe cache partition

I tried both "Wipe cache partition" and "wipe data/factory reset". Cache wipe appeared to complete without problem. Data wipe appeared to complete without problem. However, when I reboot, still stuck in a bootloop.

Where do I go from here? Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks.
Chad
