I have an Idol 3 with a broken screen. While in the process of replacing the lcd/digitizer the connector on the main pcb for a coax cable broke, a solder joint tore off while removing the cable. So I purchased a used phone on the same carrier that the seller mentioned the wifi wouldn't turn on, hoping to swap the pcb into the original.
So I swapped the pcb into the original phone and neither wifi or bluetooth will turn on. the switch stays greyed out in the on position and nothing happens. I returned both phones to their original state. I factory reset the second phone, no change. I made a complete backup of the first phone with twrp and restored it to the second and the problem still persists. At this point I assume it has to be a hardware issue.
Can anyone offer advice on what to try next?
