As we all know when you get a flagship phone (HTC, Samsung, etc..) or even some 'flagship killer' devices they are often full of bloatware applications.
In my instance I have the X500 which my friend got from Gearbest the default ROM was serviceable but when it wouldn't pair to Android Wear watch I hunted down the 5.5.103S Update file and suddenly ALL THE BLOAT!
Lots of LeTV apps and such I couldn't and wouldn't use.
Time for Root.
On 5.0.2 Kingroot works in some cases.
In others (this method I use on all phones and STRONGLY recommend over using Kingroot)
Flash TWRP Recovery and Flash SuperSU
Upon getting root access thanks to Chainfires continued great research I fired up the Play Store (Note: Post update you may need to wipe data and Flash OpenGapps, Pico ARM64 works best) and grabbed System App Remover Root to remove a chunk of apps with LeTV, Baidu or Chinese Lettering in the title name.
(Side note: If like me you want to remove Launcher, Install another such as Nova Launcher and have it set as default)
This helps get rid of the junk, Free up some space and RAM and make the whole system just nicer cause you're getting closer to a localized device.
Bare in mind if you upgrade to the 6.0 Dev Build you will need to do this again.
If you don't wipe Data your apps will survive but TWRP, Root and Xposed will be gone.
Personally after all the tinkering to make this phone usable I want my iPhone back for its ease of use (Jailbroken of course)
Have fun.
