Video brightness not in control

I just rooted my lenovo k3 note k50a40 using the cmd method but ever since whenever I play a video in mx player or internal video player or any other player I can't control the brightness. Sliding on the left side just shows brightness increasing but really doesn't increase the brightness. Can anyone tell me why I'm having this problem?

update with a rooted Mate 8

I am on rooted stock B331 and I just received an update to B356 (492 MB). If I acceot the OTA will the bootloader get locked? I know I will most likely loose root and twrp. I'd like to updated but not get locked again. Any advice?

Resources for Samsung Galaxy TAB A 7.0 (2016) SM-T285

I've just got a new Samsung Galaxy TAB A 7.0 LTE SM-T285, For some reason I can't seem to find any resources for this hardware yet in this forum, anyone know where I could find one? I'll try to find out if the current methods (custom recovery and root) for other tab versions work on this.

Today, marshmallow update 6.0.1 released to my device. I wanna ask who had a go with this update if it's worth to update.
Well, I don't have any problem with lollipop. My battery is lil bit draining, but in general my phone is so good.
